June 12th Selectboard Meeting to Open for Public Comments on Newbury Fire Station Project
On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 7pm in the Newbury Fire Station (60 Chapel Street), the Newbury Selectboard will convene during a regularly scheduled meeting to hear public comments on the proposed construction of the Newbury Village Fire Station. An agenda for this meeting will be posted on the Town web site – www.newburyvt.org.
During this meeting, there will be a brief presentation summarizing the Fire Department Steering Committee's discussions over the past year about the alternatives for the fire station location, as well as the pros and cons associated with each. After that, the Selectboard will open the discussion to public comments from residents about the project. Once public comments are closed, the Selectboard will discuss the options and then vote on the issue. After the vote has taken place, the Selectboard will adjourn back to the Town Office for the remainder of the regular Selectboard meeting.
All Newbury residents are welcome to attend and participate.
