Why celebrate Pride? As you drive around our picturesque little city in June not only does one notice the turn to summer traffic but also the rainbow flags that seem to appear magically on our neighbor's house and our local businesses threshold. This small welcoming gesture to a community historically ostracized sends a message, you are welcomed as your authentic self and this is a safe space. Pride honors the work and sacrifices of others before us and those that continue to fight for equal rights for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.
And that's why we celebrate! To honor, uplift, and stand together as a community in support of creating a better life for all. Come Join us on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 from 11 AM to 4 PM as Vergennes host's its Second Annual Big Pride in the Little City. This family-friendly, outdoor event will start at VUHS with a march to the City Green.
Join us at 10 AM at VUHS for parade preparations, good music, and good vibes! The Big Pride parade will leave the school at 11, with music, speakers, and family games from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Speakers and Music include:
