Reading-West Windsor Aging in Place invites you to mark your calendar for Thursday June 20th at the historic Grange Hall, 1023 Route 44 in Brownsville, from 5:30 to 7 PM.

Join us for a conversation with Shari Borzekowski, Aging at Home Resource Manager at the Thompson Senior Center and Vermont HomeShare Case Manager. She will present an engaging talk on homesharing, with ample opportunity for questions you may have. For over 42 years, HomeShare Vermont has been matching homeowners who have an extra room in their house with people who not only need affordable housing but are interested in helping with household tasks such as yard work, cooking, pet care, snow removal, and more. HomeShare Vermont does background and reference checks, determines compatibility, and helps negotiate expectations and rent, which is significantly lower than market rates.

All are invited, not just elders who prefer aging safely in their own homes, but also younger people who might have concerns about aging parents. This event is free and open to everyone.
