Have you taken the Brattleboro History Walking Tour yet? It's fabulous - even if you've lived here you're whole life and are not a "history person." The stories are great, the guides are excellent, you're supporting the multitude of charitable work by Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary, and it's a great way to spend 90 minutes - especially if you have out of town guests!
Your next chance to hear all of Brattleboro's history is THIS Saturday at 11 am at Plaza Park.
Tours walk from one end of Main Street to the other (approximately 7/10 of a mile) with about 10 stops explaining Brattleboro's history and culture. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and will go from Plaza Park (across from the Co-op) to the Brattleboro Common. Kids are welcome, but the tour is designed for adults.
Tours are limited to 12 participants so registration is required. Payment is on a sliding scale of $20-$40 per person, with all funds going towards the Brattleboro Sunrise Rotary Club's various scholarships and charitable projects that support the local community.
