"What you need, what we all need, is silence. Stop the noise in your mind in order for the wondrous sounds of life to be heard. Then you can begin to live your life authentically and deeply." - Thich Naht Hanh
I invite you to join me for a gentle and (somewhat) silent stroll through the Hinesburg Town forest on Sunday June 9th from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM (folks can continue on after our ending or turn back at any time). We will begin our walk with a short reading from the teachings of Buddhist Monk, Thich Naht Hanh.
The intention is to cultivate loving awareness with the self and all that we may encounter in the forest. And to bring some rest and ease to our day.
Where to meet: Hinesburg Town Forest parking lot, off Hayden Hill Road East.
When: Sunday, June 9th. 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM (likely recurring event)
What to bring: walking shoes, trekking pole if needed, water.
The walk has a moderate incline and we'll be strolling for about 1.5-2 miles. Please consider bug spray, snacks and anything you might need to care for yourself.
Who: anyone that would like to practice silent walking meditation and would like to practice in a group. Dogs and children are welcome (Whistles, gentle call backs, etc welcome!). While silence is an intention, please take care of your needs and voice concerns.
