The Hardwick Planning Commission hereby provides notice of a public hearing being held pursuant to 24 VSA §4444 (Public Hearing Notice) for the purpose of hearing public comments concerning proposed changes to the Hardwick Unified Development Bylaws. The public hearing has been scheduled for June 11, 2024 (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. on the third floor of the Memorial Building and by Zoom. Statement of Purpose:
The proposed changes to the Hardwick Unified Development Bylaws (known hereafter as "Bylaws") will serve the following purposes:
1) To provide additional housing development options in areas served by municipal water and sewer infrastructure in compliance with the Vermont HOME Act.
2) To provide for a more flood-resilient community.
3) To create a boundary Amendment to expand the Village Neighborhood into the Compact Residential district. The adjustment is necessary to alight with the Urban Compact of Hardwick (2015) – eleven parcels are impacted. (Tax Map 9, Lots 32.1, 32, 31, 29.3, 30.1, and 29.2; Tax Map 23, Lots 81, 81.1, and 81.5; and Tax Map 24, Lots 79 and 80).

The Bylaw changes shall apply to all areas in the Town of Hardwick, Vermont.
