NRLT Annual Meeting, Sunday, June 9
The Northern Rivers Land Trust Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, June 9th at 4PM at the Mountain View Country Club in Greensboro. All are welcome.
The meeting will feature Hannah Phillips, State Lands Administration Program Manager, Division of Lands Administration and Recreation, Agency of Natural Resources. Hannah will provide an overview of the Community Resilience and Biodiversity Protection Act (30x30 initiative), including a summary of the first phase of the process: Conservation Inventory. She will emphasize the diversity of conservation approaches necessary to protect 30 percent of Vermont's lands by 2030 and 50 percent by 2050. Achieving those goals will require a continued human commitment, vision and collaboration.
Hannah began working at the VT State Agency of Natural Resources, Forest, Parks, and Recreation Department in 2019, bringing prior career experience in land conservation, ecology, research in forested headwater wetlands, and science education. In her role at FPR, Hannah coordinates the policy and process guiding management of all lands owned by the Agency of Natural Resources, including the long-range management planning process and the development of ANR land management policies. Hannah has an M.S. in Natural Resource Management from the University of Vermont Ecological Planning Program, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Skidmore College.
