At the age of 8-years-old, South Hero's own Al Getler taught himself the art of ventriloquism and has taken his comedy act to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and theatres throughout the U.S. Al has been featured on Good Morning America and has appeared on the Discovery/A&E Network channels hundreds of times.
In his talk at the Worthen, Al will explore the history of ventriloquism and its influence in vaudeville, radio, film, television, comedy clubs, and modern-day arenas. Al's talk promises to be insightful and entertaining, featuring a colorful array of characters and bringing the rich history of ventriloquism to life.
