Southern Vermont for Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace invite you to join us for a chance to share in conversation and hear accounts from Eva, a recently returned medic who was working in Rafah and the West Bank. This will be an opportunity to hear what is happening on the ground in Palestine from a first-hand witness through pictures, videos and stories. Eva is a longtime Jewish anti-occupation activist and will lead a discussion and share info on participating in Palestine solidarity work on the local and global level.
This event is an opportunity to inform and fundraise for Help Me Live USA (https://hmlusa.org/gaza-urgent-appeal) for rebuilding clinic infrastructure in Rafah. There is a suggested donation of $10 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Refreshments will be provided in the covered outdoor space of The Root.
Anyone interested in learning more about Eva's work before the event may do so through this episode of the podcast It Could Happen Here: https://podcastaddict.com/it-could-happen-here/episode/176799284
We are requesting that guests mask throughout the event, and encourage all to test beforehand. Free tests are available during open hours at the Brooks Memorial Library. We will have KN95 masks available and will run an air purifier.
