The Rutland Garden Club, founded in 1914, is celebrating 110 years of beautifying Rutland.
Please join us in celebrating National Garden Week, June 2 - 8, sponsored by National Garden Clubs. Look for us especially on Monday, June 3, as we work to fill the window boxes and planters with lovely flowers to decorate Rutland.
You will see the work of our volunteers (in pink tee shirts and garden gloves!) in many areas of Downtown Rutland, including the planting of flower boxes and hanging baskets. Working in enthusiastic coordination with the City Parks and Recreation Department and the Downtown Partnership, the Club maintains twenty municipal gardens in the area, including the City Police Department, the Chaffee Art Center, the Rutland Free Library, the Main Street Park Veterans Memorial, and the Blue Star Memorial on Woodstock Avenue.
The Rutland Garden Club is dedicated to stimulating interest in gardening and the cultivation of beauty in our environment. Celebrating 110 years!
