Cambridge Community Meeting with VT Council on Rural Development

Past event
Oct 27, 2014, 6:30 to 9 PM

Dear Cambridge Community Members,

Please come to the Cambridge Community Meeting on Monday, October 27th from 6:30-9:15pm at the Cambridge Elementary School Gymnasium. The Vermont Council on Rural Development will return to Cambridge and present a synthesis of the big ideas that many of you and other Cambridge community members generated at the first set of forums in September. On October 27th community members will discuss the ideas and champion directions that they think will have the greatest long-term benefit for Cambridge, vote for their top priorities for action, and can join task groups to move them forward if they would like to. This is a dynamic and interactive session and a great opportunity for Cambridge to set some positive direction for the future. All members of the greater Cambridge community are invited to come and help set priorities for action for the future of the community.

Through this process, community members have a tremendous opportunity to set bold, transformational goals for the future of Cambridge. The program is most successful when a diverse representation of the community participates. So we encourage you to spread the word to family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, businesses, service organizations, high school students, seniors, people who care about Cambridge... Here are some ways you can help:
- share the event facebook page with your friends and invite them to join the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1551517535063701/
- share this link on facebook: http://vtrural.org/programs/community-visits/cambridge/press/cm-day-pr
- post on Front Porch Forum to encourage neighbors to come
- print a handful of flyers (attached) and take them with you to your next club meeting or gathering or tack on bulletin boards
- post the flyer in your business/house of worship/school newsletter
- post on a local website
- forward on to your list serve of community volunteers or business people in town
- word of mouth - let people know about the event and about the process!

This process is open to everyone and everyone is invited and encouraged to come!
