Help Us Fill the Firehouses!
The Bristol Fire Department's annual food drive takes place this Saturday, October 25th. Drop off locations of your non-perishable food or paper products can be made at any of the five-town area fire departments.
The Have-A-Heart food shelf serves the towns of Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, New Haven and Starksboro and we are please that our surrounding fire departments have graciously offered to open their station doors during this same time to solicit donations from their respective communities. Bristol will also have a second drop off site located in the Shaw's parking lot.
This year we are challenging our neighbors, family, friends and fellow firefighters to donate 10 lbs of food or $10. We are in hopes this challenge made on the various social media sites (Facebook and Front Porch Forum) will increase our donations to our local food shelf. Last year we donated approximately 2,500 lbs to the Have-A-Heart food shelf..and we hope to break that record this year.
