“Jazz Cafe” Concerts Return to Stone Valley Arts in Poultney

Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill, in Poultney VT. brings back the infamous "Jazz Cafe" music series beginning June 4th at 7:00pm. Since 2018, "Jazz Cafe" has featured varied programming with musicians from Rutland county and from across Vermont, performing for enthusiastic audiences.

The first concert of this 2024 season features two very talented musicians from the Poultney area, Harry Drum on tenor sax and Cameron Wescott, playing trumpet and singing. Both Harry and Cameron are long time members of the "Enerjazz" big band and play professionally with bands that tour through Vermont. Harry and Cameron will be joined by Gary Schmidt on piano, Ron White on bass, Nick Aloi on the drums to kick off the season with a set of jazz standards and original tunes.

SVA will present seven jazz concerts this summer including one program performed by the West Side Jazz Ensemble from the West Rutland School under the direction of Zack Hampton on June 26th.

The Jazz Cafe at Stone Valley Art offers a unique opportunity to hear and enjoy live jazz music performed by professional Vermont musicians. The Jazz cafe is free and open to the public. It starts on Tuesday June 4 and will continue through October 2024 on the following dates: June 26, July 17, August 7, August 28, September 18 and October 16.
