On Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Hall in Wilmington, Margery Winters will give a talk on how native flowers, shrubs, and trees can enhance your garden and keep our ecosystems healthy. Find out what makes a successful habitat for both wildlife and pollinators, why native plants are so important, and even how keeping your lights off at night helps our pollinators.
Margery Winters is the Assistant Director and instructor at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, CT where she shares her passion for earth science and nature with students of all ages. She manages the Nature Center's native plant gardens and is an advocate for the role of natives in our designed landscapes. She is a Master Landscape Design Consultant and has completed the Connecticut Master Woodland Manager program.
