Westfield artist Carrie Glessner will debut her first solo exhibit of watercolor paintings, Colors of the Kingdom, at the Library for the month of June. Carrie is a summer camp director for Hosmer Point Camp in Craftsbury, but has practiced art all of her life. She takes inspiration from, and photos of, the landscapes she sees while driving around the Northeast Kingdom, as well as the colorful people and animals found here. She also works from sketches and often paints landsacpes "en plein air." The Library welcomes everyone to meet the artist, see her paintings, and enjoy light refreshments at the exhibit's opening reception on Sunday, June 2 from 11:30-1:00. More information about Carrie's artwork can be found at her website, http://carrieglessnerart.com.
