Renowned improvisational pianist, Jacqueline Schwab, heard on Ken Burns' The Civil War and other PBS documentaries, will perform a special Father's Day concert, Sunday June 16, 2024 at 3 p.m. at the Congregational Church of South Hero UCC (CCSH), 24 South Street, South Hero. The concert, I Lift My Lamp – Illuminations from Immigrant America, will include local guest singers Ernestine Tuyishime and Christine Aziza from the US Committee on Refugees and Immigrants – Vermont (USCRI-VT).
Admission is by free will donation, a portion of which will benefit USCRI – VT.
An optional pot-luck supper will follow. Participants may leave food in the church kitchen, entered on the ground level at the back of the church, prior to the concert.
The concert and pot-luck are co-sponsored by CCSH and USCRI-VT.
