Hello neighbors,
The solar company I work for, SunCommon, is putting on their fifth annual Climate Action Film Festival next week — please come join us for an evening of short films (90 minutes) celebrating climate action on Wednesday 5/29, at 7PM, at Main Street Landing film house. The screening will followed by refreshments in the lobby (including free Ben & Jerry's!) and a chance to get to know local groups like 350VT, VPIRG, and Vermont Green Football Club. Tickets are name-your-own-price, including free, we'll have up cycled CAFF t-shirts for sale, and all proceeds will go to support the good work of 350VT.
The WHY behind the festival:
We created CAFF back in 2020 because, as workers in the solar industry, we were surrounded by bad news about climate change — we were already using our careers to help grow the clean energy movement, but we realized there was so much more good work happening around the world, and that being able to share these stories of hope and progress could be really impactful for a lot of people. And so CAFF was born as a way to celebrate climate action that was already happening, and to inspire even more. If you've attended CAFF in the past, either in person or virtually, you know we bring our A-game to this event. From the high quality of the films to the thoughtfulness behind the selection of stories, this is a meaningful and moving evening of community, connection, and celebration.
I'm part of the small team that puts this festival on every year, and I'm super proud to be a part of it. If you have any questions about the festival, please send me an email! You can also learn more about CAFF and find links to get your tickets at https://www.climateactionfilmfestival.com
