Six inches of wet show caused the cancellation of Keith Murphy's concert last March. Keith, one of southern Vermont's finest traditional musicians, was eager to reschedule, and he'll be back Friday, May 31, at 7:00. A native of Newfoundland, Keith's traditional song repertoire is based in Eastern Canada and Quebec as well as his current home, Brattleboro, Vermont. As a multi-instrumentalist, he is well known for his driving style of guitar playing as well as his mandolin and piano playing and his French Canadian foot percussion. His solo traditional song arrangements are often based on a percussive finger style of guitar playing using multiple open tunings, reminiscent of some of the great English and Irish folk revival players of the 1970s. Admission is $15, free for 12 and under. The Adamant Community Club is located at the intersection of Martin and Haggett Roads, Adamant.
