On Memorial Day Weekend, specifically on May 26th, the Johnson Historical Society will host an opportunity for you to learn about the value and history of antiques and old treasures in your possession? The Historical Society's version of Antiques Road Show and Appraisal Event will take place at the Holcomb House, 188 Main Street East, Johnson on Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
Experts will appraise antiques and collectibles in three categories.
Mark "Buggyman" Ducharme and Ed Barns will appraise furniture, china and porcelain, and old toys.
Maria Roosevelt will appraise paintings, artwork, & dolls.
Tim Hunt will share his expertise for gold, silver, and jewelry.
The cost is $5 for each item appraised. Bring as many items as you like.
While at the Holcomb House you can see the collection of military uniforms worn by town residents including Lois Beard, Becky Brekenbeck, Roger Perkins, William Thompson, Bill Lamb, John Manley, and Clyde Burns. Learn a bit about folks who served our country. We salute their service and hope you will too.
Open to the public at 1 pm with free admission. Refreshments will be available. Questions call 802 635 7826.
