Folks often ask me how they might try dragon boating. Three opportunities are coming up. First, there's a Try Paddling Night coming up on June 6, 530- 7:00 pm. Advanced registration is required and the minimum age is 14. Register: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=HvP5ZoiP8EyFPl3Ec4ME5mjyGLLlZhxLm8thHwE2[...]Wcu (see Event URL below)
Meet at the Burlington Waterfront at the dragon boat docks — an easy walk from Old North End!
Then there's also the Dragonheart Vermont Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival. Form a team of friends, neighbors, and/or colleagues to compete against other community boats on Aug 4. (Also you can sign up as an individual and be placed with a team needing more folks!) Prizes for fastest times in your division, most funds raised, best spirit (costumes/decoration/chant or song/use of social media). It's a fun, heart warming, joyous full day on the Burlington Waterfront benefiting breast cancer survivor activities of DHVT and Osher Integrative Oncology at UVM Cancer Center. Training occurs on July 20/21. Click here for more information about the Festival: https://secure.dragonheartvermont.org/event/lcdbf2024
Finally, if you've have, are recovering from, or had cancer, you might want to signup for the Community Cancer Survivor Paddling Day — Saturday August 3. 9:30- Noon. Contact me and I'll get you the info.
