Can I compost this certified compostable plastic in my backyard? How about at WSWMD? What certifications are there for this kind of thing?

Backyard composting and commercial composting are two completely different beasts. Each system loves to turn food scraps into nutrient-rich compost usable for gardening, fertilizing, or even erosion control... but they differ in a few key ways. Come to the Wardsboro Public Library on May 25th at 1pm to learn more about each type of composting with Alex Lacy, WSWMD's outreach coordinator. This a free and public event. All are welcome.
