The Waterbury Public Library and Bridgeside Books are collaborating on a series of Silent Reading Parties!

You've probably heard about things like this in other places. The concept is that it's a time set aside to enjoy quiet reading time outside of your house, away from your obligations, and in the company of other people doing the exact same thing.

Our first party will take place at the beautiful Phoenix Gallery at 5 Stowe Street in Waterbury.

Chairs are available but feel free to bring a floor pillow, yoga mat, camp chair, or whatever else will make a comfortable spot for you to read.

We will start at 5:30, read for an hour or so, then if people want to, we can share what we're reading with one word to describe it.

Moving forward, we will be at a different location at varying times and days so as many people can have the opportunity to join us as possible. Watch our social media and Front Porch Forum for details about future parties.
