Approaching Death with Grace

Past event
May 26, 2024, 7 to 9 PM

Hi everyone. As some of you know, I recently became a certified death doula.

I would like to invite anyone interested in understanding how death can be met bravely, and even joyfully, to view this film on Sun, May 26, 7:00 PM EDT via ZOOM. I will send the link to those interested later.

We all face death. The question is: how do do it with a minimum of fear, pain and regret? This film approaches some of those questions.

I am offering this film via Zoom free (I've paid the $300 license fee) to those interested -- not just people who are facing death, but also friends and family. Please do spread the word to anyone you think might be interested. I have room for 10 seats but can accommodate more via Zoom as needed but will probably need to charge an additional $10 per seat for the licensing.

About the film: here is the trailer: https://kinema.com/films/the-last-ecstatic-days-a-q-p2 Ethan Sisser, a young man with terminal brain cancer, sits alone in his hospital room. When he starts livestreaming his death journey on social media, thousands of people around the world join to celebrate his courage. Still, Ethan envisions more – to teach the world how to die without fear. To do that, he needs to film his death. Honoring Ethan's wish, his doctor Aditi Sethi transports him to an idyllic house in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. What unfolds next is a story rarely glimpsed: how a community of strangers helps a young man die with grace. A sensory immersion into leaving the body, "The Last Ecstatic Days" reveals a man who will not let us forget him – even after he's taken his final breath.

There are still a few spaces available, so let me know if you are interested and I'll send you the information
