Children of all genders ages 5-8 are invited to join instructor Sadie MacKinnon for a week-long, half-day camp of dance, art, and live music with guest musicians! Sadie leads children in imagination-based exercises and games designed to enhance musicality, creative expression, and spatial awareness. Dancers will also learn the earliest fundamentals of ballet and jazz technique and some ballet terminology.
Students will learn and practice a short phrase of choreography over the week that they will perform for parents/caregivers on the last day of camp.
Students may register for one or both weeks:
July 15th - 19th | July 29th - Aug 2nd
SCHEDULE: 9 AM - 12 PM
9-9:45 AM - Primary Ballet class
9:45 - 10 AM - Snack/water/bathroom break
10 - 11 AM - Craft/Art activity (pointe shoe decorating, tutu making, etc.)
11 - 11:15 AM - Snack/water/bathroom break
11:15 AM - 12 PM - Jazz class/live music/choreography
