To our Unified Union School District communities - the Board would like to thank everyone who participated in our budget meetings for their time and engagement. Thank you for voting on May 7th! We are so thankful for your trust and support! We won't take it for granted and we pledge to continue our efforts to build a SUSTAINABLE school district that will provide opportunities for each of our students!! We have so many opportunities together and the duty to act in a sustainable manner, our structure must ensure high quality, enriching instruction for all students.

We are committed to seeking community input. We also know that there are many emotions involved with the future of our schools. I am hopeful that by working together and grounding ourselves in our vision and core beliefs we will be able to look into configuration options that allow class sizes that meet Education Quality Standards and provide rich instruction while maintaining full time nursing, counseling,reducing part time positions and expanding enrichment opportunities across the district (including world language, music, art, etc.) - while also ensuring that our taxpayers can afford to live in our communities. We have a lot of work ahead of us but I am confident that we have all we need to bring oxygen into the system together.

The configuration committee will meet to discuss its timeline and next steps for community engagement on May 22, 2024, at 5 pm. The meeting will be followed by our regular 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting. The meetings are at U-32 room 128/131 and they have a virtual option too.
