Join David Paganelli, Orange County Forester, and Judith Falk, Vermont Woodlands Association Board Member and Coverts Cooperator, for a program at their Clover Hill Tree Farm in South Strafford. They will be joined by Steve Faccio, Conservation Biologist with the Vermont Center for Ecostudies, who will lead a discussion of wetland and riparian habitats, including a rich fen. David will discuss access improvements, invasive plant treatment, and recent pre-commercial forestry work. Judith will talk about creating and maintaining early successional habitats for various mammals, songbirds, and pollinators, with particular attention to Monarch butterflies and how we balance sustainable agriculture with other land management practices. The program will take place rain-or-shine and will require some walking on moderately sloping terrain. All are welcome. Please bring your curiosity and questions.
