Craftsbury Town Bulky Day is June 8 - this is earlier than usual, so get into those attics and sheds!
The Town of Craftsbury's FREE BULK WASTE COLLECTION is Saturday morning, June 8, at the town garage from 9a-12p, for Craftsbury residents. (Please enter from Calderwood Hill, so we don't gum up the transfer station!)
To help you plan as you clean out your sheds:
TIRES: First 4 tires per family are free! Tires normally cost $5 to dispose of properly - ugh. To keep tires out of rivers and woods, the Town will pay for your first 4 tires; over that we'll ask $5 each. (Passenger and light truck tires only please.)
ACCEPTABLE items: household furniture, construction and building materials (one pick-up load limit), large plastic objects (toys, chairs, etc), any large items made with non-recyclable materials, tires (see above) and metal appliances that don't contain freon.
NO items: clothing, textiles (bedding, towels), clean untreated wood, electronics, other items that can (and should!) be recycled, appliances with freon (refrigerators, A/C, etc), household hazardous waste.
We'll post more info each week so watch the daily listings!
Let me know if you have questions.
