It's a wildlife party on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6pm at the Ripton Elementary School!
Through the use of motion sensor cameras, four Middlebury college students have been working with volunteer families to develop a Ripton Wildlife Program. The Ripton Conservation Commission (RCC) asked the students to develop a pilot program.
Ultimately the RCC wants to allow landowners to borrow cameras to document wildlife throughout Ripton.
Most importantly, the RCC wants to encourage everyone, regardless of age to participate and have fun.
The students met with all the grades at the Elementary School because this is a great family thing to do.
It's like Christmas when you find out what wildlife is actually hanging out in your back yard when the photos come back!
Please come join us to see and the hear the results of this pilot program and what the next steps to further its development might be.
We can promise you some fun and interesting wildlife photos during this presentation from the volunteer family camera placements!
This is the students very last presentation of their college career! Sam, Johan, Colin, and Isaac are all seniors getting ready to head off on their next adventures.
Come celebrate the hard work they have done for the Town of Ripton.
