COFFEE WITH COFFEY
Saturday, May 18th 10-11AM
at the Broad Brook Community Center
3940 Guilford Center Road, Guilford
The 2023/24 session adjourned early Saturday May 11th.
This year passed significant legislation to strengthen consumer protections for our digital data (H.121), modernize Act 250 to address our housing crisis (H.687) and address public safety. We also passed three critical bills to address the climate crisis: S.213, which would establish a new state permitting system for building in river corridors, S.259, which would require big oil companies to pay for damages from climate change in Vermont and H.289, a bill that would update the state's renewable energy standard by requiring utilities to make a quicker transition to renewable energy.
Please join me to discuss any legislation we passed (or didn't pass), hear about the upcoming veto session and share your ideas and priorities for building healthy, strong and vibrant communities.
Coffee and treats are provided. Everyone is welcome!
