Invasives Mapping & Management Strategies on Her Land

Past event
May 18, 2024, 10 AM to 2:30 PM

Join Women and Our Woods VT (WOW-VT), Vermont Cooperative Invasive Species Management Association (VT CISMA) and Vermont Land Trust (VLT) in a skill-based workshop focused on invasive species management and mapping. Andrew
Morrison, consulting forester, and Julie Messervy, landowner, will demonstrate how to map invasives on your land. You'll learn how to map invasives by hand on a printed map as well as using a phone-based app. Andrew will also share his expertise on how to
manage invasives effectively. There will be opportunity to discuss, share, and ask questions on how to develop an appropriate invasive management plan for your property's unique conditions.

WOW-VT is a collaborative women-centered community that shares information and offers support for people who take care of Vermont's
forests. Steering committee members include professionals from Vermont Coverts, Vermont Woodlands Association, Vermont Land Trust, Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife, Audubon Vermont, and Vermont Department of Forests Parks and Recreation.

Please contact Astara Zuorski (astara@vlt.org) with questions and accommodation requests.
