The Vermont chapter of the Humane Society of the United States will offer a presentation on Monday, Oct. 20 from 6:00-7:30 pm at The River Garden in Brattleboro on how to become a citizen advocate for animals. You'll learn basic lobbying techniques, how a bill becomes a law, what influences a legislator and what you can do to help, whatever your area of interest. Our special guest will be State Senator Jeanette White. Join us to learn how you can have your voice heard at the local, state and national levels. Refreshments will be provided.
