Last week I attended the play Love Letters and strongly recommend you put this terrific performance on your weekend entertainment list.
The play has two characters who have known each other from second grade. Sitting side by side, they read aloud letters, notes, and cards written to each other over 50 years, telling of their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats. The actors evoke intensity, closeness, nostalgia.
Offered free of charge, the play is at the Frank Suchomel Memorial Arts Center on 1231 Haggett Road (not too far from the Adamant Cooperative). Plenty of parking.
