We hope you will join us on Monday evening for a walk in the forest with Orleans County forester Jared Nunery. Jared will talk about the legacy of land use history on our forest ecosystems, and their recovery from these past impacts. Additionally we will see how forest management can accelerate this recovery, and increase forest resiliency in a rapidly changing climate.
The walk will start in the parking area at the top of Hanks Hill Road (directions below), and will last approximately one hour. Rain or shine- please dress for the weather and conditions, it could be buggy.
There will be ASL interpretation for this event.
Directions from East Craftsbury Road heading south from East Craftsbury: Turn left onto Shadow Lake Road. Turn right onto Hanks Hill Road. Go all the way to the top and you will see a parking area on the left, park here! There will be a sign indicating this event.
