Mezzo-soprano Laurel Proctor-Mattingly and Barre pianist Michael Sitton present "But they sing in my soul: Songs Awakening Spring," a program including opera, art song, musical theatre, and a new song cycle composed by Sitton with texts by Vermont poet George Lisi. The pieces all share an acknowledgement of nature and our place within it. This is an encore presentation of a concert presented April 6 in Montpelier. Admission free, donations gratefully accepted. The concert, at 3 PM on Sunday, May 19, is at the Maple Corner Community Center on County Road in Calais.
