The GFL Book Club has been having a great time all year reading books and discussing them each month. New readers are always welcome to join. This month, we're reading the 2023 Vermont Reads selection, Last Night at the Telegraph Club, by Melinda Lo. The book is set in MCCarthy-era San Francisco, and features a Chinese-American teenage girl who is exploring her love for another girl in a time when being Chinese or being a lesbian could be very dangerous. We have several copies of the book to give away, thanks to Vermont Humanities, so please come pick one up even if you can't make it to the discussion. Book Club will meet on Thursday, May 30 at 1:00 pm. for our discussion, and a Zoom option is always available for those who can't make it in person. Please email me for the Zoom link or to be added to our Book Club email list for updates.
