Green Mountain Power will be testing their four emergency warning sirens in Chittenden and East Pittsford, as well as the Rutland City Fire Horn on Tuesday, May 14th at 6:30 PM. This is part of the twice a year testing to assure the sirens are operational should a dam emergency occur. If you are signed up for VT Alert messages and live in the flood inundation area, you will receive a message between 6-6:20 PM reminding you of the exercise. If you have not signed up yet, please do so at http://vtalert.gov as this system will be one of our earliest warnings of an emergency.
