Discover the Secrets to Lush, Fertile Soil AND How to Grow Organic Strawberries

Join us at Hartshorn Organic Farm this Friday, May 17th, at 4pm for an exciting workshop on healthy soil management and organic strawberry growing- two topics in one workshop. Even if you're not growing strawberries this 90-minute on-farm workshop will provide valuable information on building and maintaining healthy soil, a crucial component for successful organic growing.

During the workshop, you will learn about soil composition, structure, and fertility, as well as the role of beneficial microorganisms in maintaining excellent soil health. Additionally, you will receive specific tips on organic strawberry production, including variety selection, site preparation, planting, irrigation, pest and disease management, and harvesting. Even if you're not planning to grow strawberries, the workshop will offer valuable insight for all types of organic gardening.

Hands-on demonstrations will allow you to observe activities such as soil testing, composting, mulching, and planting. You will also learn about organic pest control methods and techniques for promoting pollination. Throughout the workshop, there will be time set aside for questions and discussion.

Overall, this workshop will equip you with a comprehensive and practical guide to organic strawberry growing and soil management, empowering you to apply the principles and techniques to your own gardening endeavors.
