In his book "Toward Saving the Honeybee" Gunther examines beekeeping practices, typically adapted by hobby beekeepers from commercial beekeepers. Such practices negatively impact the health and vitality of the honeybee, their aim simply being to optimize profit and ease of handling.
At this time, it is critical to ask what the bees themselves need and what we can do for them.
Gunther's work has been featured in two documentaries "Queen of the Sun" and "Vanishing of the Bees".
