Next Wednesday, October 22, the Castleton Historical Society (and friends) will carpool to the Theron Boyd House in Queechee, just outside of Woodstock. We'll leave from the Higley House at 10, program at 11, lunch anywhere in the Woodstock area that suits you. The house is a virtual time-warp, reflecting over 200 years of Vermont history (and saved from the wrecker's ball by stubborn Theron Boyd, the last occupant, who was born there and died at 86.) ADDED ATTRACTION!! Our tour leader will be Bill Jenney, director of the Calvin Coolidge historic site. Bill was the FIVE STAR speaker at the society's recent annual dinner. Questions? Call Holly Hitchcock at 468-5105.
