In 10 short days, the valley will have one of the most fun, inspirational events of the year. The first annual Soul Safari will be held at the Big Picture Theater and Café in Waitsfield. Good food, good drinks, good music, and the opportunity to meet the founder of the Malayaka House orphanage in Entebbe, Uganda, Robert Fleming. Robert is a Vermonter and loves to share his incredible story with other Vermonters. The Adam Ezra Group is coming up from Boston to perform for us - they tour with the Wailers and Rusted Root, and they are a ton of fun to watch! Pappy, of the band Cabinet, will be opening for them (and probably joining AEG on stage for a few numbers). There will be FREE food, a cash bar, a silent art auction, and a short presentation from Robert Fleming. We are calling the event Soul Safari as the kids at Malayaka House refer to a Safari as a fun outing. Every Saturday, we take them out of the orphanage to go to the beach, watch a Rugby game, or go to the pool, zoo, or park. These weekly outings are called Safaris, and the kids love them! Sunday, October 26th is a chance for everyone in the valley to go on their own Safari, but with this one comes a little SOUL! Music for our souls and inspiration for our souls. Don't miss it! Ticket sales cover the cost of the event. The silent art auction and donations received the night of the event will go directly to the 2015 school fees for the children of Malayaka House. Please join us on Sunday, October 26th from 6-9 pm at the Big Picture Theater and Café in Waitsfield. Your body may be in Vermont, but send your soul on a Ugandan Safari...for one amazing night! Tickets are $15 online and $20 at the door. Buy tickets now at http://soulsafari.brownpapertickets.com.
