Hello!!
My name's Izzy Parrish and I'm a Sophomore at U-32. On May 23, students from all around the state will be gathering together on the Statehouse Lawn to Rally for the Planet! Young folks will be meeting with legislators, hearing from experts, and learning more about Climate Change through speakers and student-facilitated discussions.
The event will consist of a march from Montpelier High School to the State House (about a 10 minute walk) with the majority of the event taking place on the State House lawn. The pre-rally at Montpelier High School will begin at 8:30 and we will march to the State House at 10:00. This is a great opportunity for students to enter into youth activism and connect them with peers who care about the climate as well as their legislators. We would love to hear from you and find out if you or your students are interested in organizing a field trip!
