Trying to quickly summarize the writing career of M.T. Anderson is nearly impossible. A children's book author, he has created stories for younger readers to young adults. His topics range from futuristic dystopias (Feed) to picture books about a historical sighting of a sea serpent (The Serpent Came to Gloucester) to graphic novels about knights (Yvain). His most recent book, Elf Dog and Owl Head recounts the adventures of a kid who is trying to entertain himself during the pandemic, who happens across a very unusual dog and a whole different world in the woods by his house. Elf Dog and Owl Head was selected for a Newbery Honor Award this year.
M.T. Anderson will be visiting the Craftsbury Public Library on Monday, May 13 at 1:45 to talk about his book and the craft of writing. All are welcome to attend this free public event.
