The Rutland Garden Club is celebrating 110 years of contributing to the beautification of our city. Saturday, May 18th we are holding a trio of fundraising events!

* Our Plant Sale is a local tradition. We are ready with a great selection of plants for your growing pleasure beginning Saturday, May 18th at 9am at the corner of Main and Center Streets in front of the Hull Maynard Hersey Building.

* At the same time we are holding our second annual Bake Sale, with proceeds dedicated to our Rutland Garden Club Scholarship. The scholarship was established to encourage the pursuit of a career in fields related to our natural environment. The first scholarship was awarded to a 2023 graduate of Rutland High School who is pursuing a degree in Landscape Design.

* New for 2024! We will have a limited number of garden related books, new and gently used, available for sale. The Book Sale will also support the Rutland Garden Club Scholarship. We hope our scholarship will help inspire the next generation to continue this tradition of community service.

Founded in 1914, the Rutland Garden Club has contributed to the beautification of the Rutland area for over one hundred years. Currently we support over twenty public gardens throughout the city. The Club also works to stimulate the public's interest in all phases of gardening through educational presentations, workshops, garden therapy work with seniors, and youth projects with the Boys' and Girls' Club. We will also be presenting a Flower Show, open to the public, in mid September 2024.
