Dr. Burma, one of the Upper Valley’s longest lived and much loved bands, will play their unstoppable mix of classic soul, blues, funk and originals in one of their final public appearances (they will be disbanding at the end of this year) at a benefit dance for Sustainable Energy Resource Group (SERG) on Saturday November 8, from 7:30 to 11pm at the Freight House Hall (formerly Tupelo Music Hall) in White River Jct., VT.
Dr. Burma has been entertaining audiences all over New England for 26 years. During that time the band has opened concerts for B.B. King, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Commander Cody, has performed with Fontella Bass, and had the honor of backing Bo Diddley on two of his tours through New England. Check them out at http://www.drburma.com and while you still have the chance.
Special guests Paul Markowitz, Jeremiah McLane and Steve Ferraris will be joining Dr. Burma on stage.
Tickets (while they last) are $25 in advance at http://www.lohtix.com or $30 at the door.
The dance and SERG are being supported by our generous business partners: Efficiency Vermont, Catamount Solar, Lyme Green Heat, Building Energy, Norwich Technologies, Co-op Food Stores of Hanover, Lebanon and WRJ and Enfield Energy Emporium.
SERG is a nonprofit organization based in Thetford, VT that educates and assists individual and towns in becoming more energy efficiency and sustainable. For more information on the dance or SERG contact 802-785-4126, serg@serg-info.org or http://www.serg-info.org.
