Northeast Kingdom Waste Management District (NEKWMD) will be having a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection event at the Peacham transfer station from 8a-12p on May 18th. This event is free and open to all residents of the district. No after-hours dumping! HHW will only be accepted at the Peacham station during this event, no acceptations.

The NEKWMD reserves the right to terminate any collection event early once we are at storage capacity. We limit HHW disposal to 25 gallons per resident during events. No appointment is needed, just come on over May 18th between the hours of 8a and noon.

Do you have more than 25 gallons? Can't make the Saturday event? Make an appointment with us! Call us at 802-626-3532 to make one for a Tuesday or Thursday here at NEKWMD in Lyndonville. We offer scheduled time slots from 8:30a until 3p every Tuesday and Thursday until October 3rd for residents of the district. All HHW collection events and appointments are free, no charge to residents. Noone should ever dump any of this hazardous waste down the drain or on the land. Don't do it! To determine if a product in your home is hazardous, check the label for the following words- poisonous, toxic, corrosive, flammable, reactive, danger, caution, or simply, hazardous. No label?
