Join the Garrett School of Irish Dance for another Community Ceili - a participatory Irish dance event in the Community Room of the Library!
An afternoon of live traditional Irish music and dance, this ceili (community celebration) will feature the traditional social dances of Ireland and live music by local Irish band One More Time. Dances will be taught on the day and all are welcome to participate! No experience and no partner needed. Join us for an afternoon of dancing, music, and fun for all ages!
At the last ceili youngsters to those in their 70's, danced and laughed while learning and performing the dances. Many had never done any Irish dancing, so you, too, would be successful!
Class runs from 4:15-5:30 for teens/adults with live music at the Richmond Free Library. Younger dancers are welcome with an accompanying adult. These are drop-in classes, so you don't need to register in advance in order to attend. Drop-ins are welcome! The suggested rate for ceili class is $20 per person or $15 per person for groups of 2 or more. If cost is a barrier for entry, please come anyway and give what you feel able to.
