"When you were looking for Nancy, she was always in a group with little kids. She'd be there sitting there talking and playing games with them. She would always be fine with the little ones, all her life."
Ann Lattuca says that spending time with children meant everything to her daughter Nancy. Nancy was 54 when she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. and even as she battled multiple medical problems, it was her time and patience she gave to children that meant the most to her.
Nancy required several blood transfusions throughout her cancer treatment, and it extended the time she had to spend time doing what she loved. On Monday, May 13th the Wallingford Memorial Rotary Club will be hosting a blood drive in memory of Nancy Lattuca.
The blood drive will run from 12:30pm to 5:30pm at Mill River Union High School with support from the MRU Interact Club.
Appointments are still available for the blood drive! Visit http://redcrossblood.org and enter the code MILLRIVERHS to sign up. Thanks to Sport Clips Haircuts, all who come to donate April 29-May 31 will get a coupon for a free haircut by email.
