Mosaic's annual Take Back the Night event is on Friday, May 10th in Montpelier! Take Back the Night is a global movement that started in the mid 1970's to raise awareness about sexual violence, make space for survivors' voices to be heard, and demand an end to gender based violence. This 2024 event is organized by a youth committee and is supported by staff at Mosaic Vermont, Washington county's sexual violence response and prevention agency.
This is an afternoon-long event to raise community awareness around violence in our communities. The afternoon includes sign-making, a march through Montpelier, and an evening speakout and candlelight vigil. This will be an afternoon-into-evening series of happenings to raise community awareness about sexual violence and show solidarity with survivors. Come to one or all of these portions of the event, everyone is welcome!
