Date: Sunday, May 12
Time: 7:00-8:00am
Location: Meet at the Green Gate of Willards Woods (Lincoln Town Forest), 321 E. River Rd.
Spring's here and migratory birds are returning north to nest. On Sunday, May 12, Tina Scharf will lead a walk through Willard's Woods to watch and listen for the birds of springtime. We'll meet at the Green Gate entrance to Willards Woods. Parking is very limited here, so you can also park at the General Store and walk the 1/3-mile to the entrance. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring binoculars if you have them.
Lincoln's very own Tina Scharf is a wildlife biologist who has worked on avian research, and also volunteered for bird surveys for many years. She loves to teach bird song identification, so come attune your ears to the dawn chorus with her!
