Listening is essential to good communication, yet it takes practice, focus, and skill to do it well. In this interactive presentation participants will experience reflective listening as an active process that allows people to express themselves and be understood around topics that matter most to them. Through exercises and engaging discussion, participants will learn key techniques to becoming a more effective listener, with the goals of creating deep empathy, opening up safe spaces, and strengthening relationships. This workshop will be lead by Robin Guillian and is being offered as part of the Peace & Justice Center's participation in Vermont's Conflict Resolution Month activities.
